IT-BPM focuses on the welfare of the community and continues normal operations
Taguig, Philippines, 20 November 2013 – Members and staff of the Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) continue to send contributions to Tacloban City and other areas devastated by typhoon Yolanda.
“On behalf of the victims of the typhoon, we would like to thank members of the association for their generous contribution to the relief and rehabilitation. I am filled with pride that the industry has come together as one to help our countrymen in this time of need. This reinforces my belief that our industry will continue to be successful, as the focus is not just on the business but on the welfare of the communities that we are in,” said Jose Mari Mercado, President and CEO of IBPAP.
Members are encouraged to send donations to the Philippine National Red Cross or to any humanitarian aid agency. Wells Fargo, Genpact, Mondelēz International Foundation, Arvato Corporation, e4e Global Services, TeleDevelopment, and Sales Rain Incorporated are a few of many who gave significant contributions, which amounted to more than ₱34 million cash and in-kind donations as of November 15, 2013.
