PSE welcoming BPO workers

THE Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) is laying down the welcome mat for workers in the booming business-process outsourcing (BPO) industry.

PSE President Hans Sicat said in a briefing on Friday that the Exchange, in its drive to widen participation in one of Asia’s smallest bourses, is reaching out to BPO workers to give the stock market an added lift.

With stable incomes and familiarity with technology, workers in the outsourcing sector fit well into the PSE’s plan to draw in more retail investors.
